![]() I would help restructure their processes with the help of 3rd party consultants, but I will not work IT at the same time. As many pointed out, this fell entirely in the realm of industrial engineering.Ī few days ago I made the company an offer. So a while back I, solo IT at my company, was asked to restructure the manufacturing processes in our companies manufacturing planning system (see original post for full story). ![]() I'm trying to just get everything they want done and hang on to get my bonus. I demanded more money and they bumped me to $70,000 and promise to double my bonus making it 10 grand at the end of November. I was getting paid $50,000 a year at the beginning of the year. My temper and anxiety are 0 to 100 at the smallest problem. I daydream every time I drive to work on crashing just to get a short break in the hospital. Maybe I'm just not cut out for IT management. I'm working through nights days and weekends. They now want a network overhaul by thanksgiving for cyber insurance purposes and a new time keep software customized, tested, trained, and deployed before December. ![]() They have me traveling and staying overnight all over the state for these. They have went from 300 people last year to 800 this year. I have been working non stop since July while the executives pat each other on the backs and congratulate each other on all the growth they've had. But I'm a chicken and I feel too guilty to quit. I've had to stop myself 3 times this week from dumping my gear in my bosses office with a note that says I quit.
